This hotel is exceptionally clean. Infact, the cleaners are by far the best I have known. The hotel is spitless all the time. The staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. The breakfast is reasonable with a good selection. I also found the snack bar excellent value for money with large portions and a reasonable price. Th bar man was also very good. The location of this hotel was brilliant too. However, Kiriti hotel is not a holiday hotel. The rooms are tiny. We had go shimmy around the bed. You could only open one door at a time. If i had the wardrobe door open my husband was unable to open the bathroom door. The same applied to the entrance door. The bed was comfy but the room was far too small. The one wardrobe was 1/4 taken up with the fridge and safe. This left very little room for clothes and there were no draws at all. We had to use the vanity shelf for folded clothes and under garments etc. This just made the room look smaller and was hard to keep tidy. There was no chair to the vanity mirror as one would not of fitted in and if sat on the bed to do your hair or makeup all you could see was the top of your head. The decor was dark and dreary. The only good thing about the room was the cleanliness and daily house keeping. Now we come to the pool. Well the hotel has 84 rooms and 20 sunlounge's, a few soft bean bag type chairs and some hard plastic table and chairs for eating. Guests were laying towels on the floor to sit n around the pool. And this area was so small not many people could do that. I dont blame the hotel for this as its the tour operators trying to sell this hotel as a holiday hotel when it really is a short stay hotel. A few nights or a long weekend. We even had workmen in the canteen, and i say canteen as its not a restaurant, as they were working in the area. Not that I have a problem with workmen but the point i am trying to make is this was more like a Travel Lodge or Premier inn. And also there was no atmosphere. No charm or charisma. Not like when i have holidayed in crete before. All very professional and mater of fact.

What a lovely hotel. Perfect to get to the old town and close to the harbour. The staff are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are perfect, some people say small, but a lovely large bed that is very comfortable. There is a kettle with tea and coffee. There is a small shop just over the road that has everything you need. For my husband and I, its perfect. So is Chania. We will be back.

Nice and clean hotel, we let it go to 4 stars! Breakfast buffet was varied and more than enough. Friendly staff, friendly staff. The room was clean and fine, street view, beach, no noise from busy tourist life in chania. Walking distance to the beach, promenade and old town. Travel we did by public transport, cheap and you have the buses within walking distance. Tip: Golden Beach, bus line 21 from Square 1866! Beautiful beach with lovely beds and taverns where you can buy a cocktail or lunch!
