Matala Sun

Room is good. Hotel is max 10 minutes walk from the town of Matala. Breakfast is reasonable but the space does not look very clean. Elderly lady from reception (owner?) is super friendly! Pool was not (yet) clean, quite a shame. For 1 night fine. We like more the tranquility of Koutouloufari. You can eat delicious fish in Matala at Scala.

We visited the hotel for a stay and had quite a pleasant experience. The rooms, although of old architecture, have been renovated and great emphasis has been placed on cleanliness. The location is quite good. The disadvantage we found is that we did not enjoy the breakfast at all, we actually avoided it and the reason was not the quality, but the large number of flies that went everywhere in the dishes and besides being unsightly, it also creates health risks. They could have a different system to cover the food so the flies don't go. In general, however, it is a good choice for accommodation in Matala.

This hotel is a dream. Eleni, the hostess, is super friendly, always in a good mood and always helpful if there is anything that needs to be clarified. You can tell that she runs the whole thing with passion. In the morning there is a great breakfast with lots of homemade treats and in the evening the taverns of Matala are a maximum of 10 minutes walk away. The rooms are all very clean and equipped with air conditioning. WiFi and parking are free. The pool is very nice and great for refreshing and swimming in the morning or in the evening after a tour.
