We spent a week in Kato Daratso and stayed in the Nontas Hotel. The room was big, comfortable and clean and catered for our needs adequately. The staff who I did engage with during our stay were helpful and friendly. We did not use the pool area, or the snack bar so I cannot comment. I was slightly disappointed that we had to keep hold of our towels from the room for the late check out, and also had to leave our bags in the court yard area.
The beach was beautiful, and the little cafe was great, nice food, a good selection of drinks, and friendly service.
A trip to Chania is a must.
