Porto Kalamaki

Had a great holiday at Porto Kalamaki Hotel. We used this place as a base to explore western Crete and were well impressed with the hotel and staff. Andreas and Maria were there every day to attend to our needs, serving food, drinks from early morning till late at night, always with a caring attitude and friendly smile. We had an apartment in the centre of the hotel with a large balcony overlooking the pool. Yes there was a bit of road noise from the usual nuggets on the road, but generally the area is quiet, being located away from the busy areas. The cleaners, and other waiters / hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again. Thanks for an amazing stay.

This is a wondrful place for a holiday! Lovely accommodation, everything you need for a small and friendly apartment hotel. Breakfast was amazing as well as lunch at the pool. Want to treat yourself to an evening meal the Chefs here wont dissapoint you. The amaxing staff Mr Andreas and Maria look after you so very well from Mornong to Dusk! Reception staff a treasure trove of information for trips out, places to visit and more. Nothing was too much trouble. Truthfully, a wonderful place to stay, its away from the hub-bub noise of the main tourist areas, but thats it's appeal and charm. Short strolls bring you to Cafes, - Cafe Virage and Penny's, as well as restairants, Nesaki - must book, Kalamaki Beach bar, are just a few I tried, mini-supermarkets , pharmacy who was so helpful. There are also ATM's, gift shops and lots more! Bus into Chania very simple and dont forget to book the Little Fun Land Train! Thank you to everyone at Porto Kalamaki for a lovely holiday.
