Sorta Apartments

The stay at Sorta Apartments changed our vacation experience, thanks to its staff, especially its owner Panagiotis, who, thanks to him, made our first trip to Crete a unique and unforgettable experience. In addition, the rooms are very clean, very well equipped, the area is very quiet with a swimming pool and very close to beaches, supermarkets and restaurants. You really don't need to leave the area. We were two adults and we toured part of the island, but for a family we believe it is an ideal place to rest. Without a doubt we will repeat if we return to Crete, 1000% recommended.

This had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Very spacious apartment, very clean with daily cleaning and well equipped, with everything provided, including washing up liquid and tea towels which were changed regularly. We also had a generous welcome pack of bottles of water, fruit juice, soft drinks and a platter of fresh fruit. The apartment had loads of space with a separate dining area and a lounge area, as well as a good sized balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of hot water. It’s just 5 minutes away from the nearest beach with 2 other beaches also within easy walking distance. You can walk into Chania in around 45 mins but the bus stop is 2 minutes away with frequent buses ( around every 20minutes) There are a few restaurants close by with more restaurants a 10 minute walk away on the main road. And with 2 large supermarkets just a few minutes walk away you can get pretty much anything you might want. The apartment is a bit tired but for space comfort and value it really is excellent and we would definitely stay here again.

I Booked an apartment from Sorta Apartments four months before our holiday. Waited for the holiday and then the owner e-mailed me two weeks before the trip that he did a mistake and he had overbooked the apartment. He just said that I have to cancel my booking. I replied that I cannot cancel it because there was only two weeks time to find another place to stay and it was High season on July. He didn't answer to that e-mail ever. Two weeks was the time that you can cancel the booking without any additional costs (on a booking site where I made the booking), so it was pretty clear that he did it on purpose. He waited until the end of time if someone would cancel his booking, no one canceled, so then he tried to cancel my booking in a way that no one would know about the overbooking. He told to the booking site that I want to cancel my booking (which I didn't want, obviously), and if I push the button on the E-mail he sent to me, no one would ever know what he had done. I don't know how good the apartment is, but the owner is crooked, Beware!
