We booked this holiday last minute and as it was “newly refurbished” we couldn’t really see reviews, we arrived and were meant to be in a family room with balcony which was newly refurbished, however what they put us in was a room with tiny windows and the most unsafe staircase up to a bed on the next floor. We booked through love holidays and have made them aware of the false advertisement. The place was filthy and the staff member at reception was less than helpful, we stated this was not safe for our two small children however was told we must sleep there overnight. In the morning we spoke to the manager who was slightly more helpful. We were moved to the sister hotel blue princess, both of these are owned by the same people so don’t be fooled. We are fortunate to be a well travelled family and this is by far not the experience I want any other family to have. This is not 4 star. please be aware of the following before booking- -food quality and variety is closer to that of a hostel. -ants and wasps infest everything. -the self serve drink choice is awful with cheap options. -staff are unwilling to help with wasp infestation and seem quite happy to leave customers to deal with it, perhaps this is a ploy as you are unable to get near any sort of beverage without being attacked so eventually you give up. -if you do manage to get a drink a wasp usually pops out of the machine directly into your drink, the same wasps that were in the bin a few minutes ago, carrying germs and I’m surprised more people haven’t been unwell with e.coli. - customer service is terrible in both hotels. -no entertainment -inedible food. -rooms are filthy even after being cleaned. -our “upgraded” room had ants, the shower was mouldy. -toilet seat and shower were both broken. -one mug for a family room. -one tea bag. -the pool with “bar” is miles away from the hotels. -snack food is a few sandwiches or stale cake in a chiller cabinet, not the usual food you would expect from a 4 star. -everything looks half finished, like holes in walls etc. -no Greek food apart from one might the had moussaka, if you like pork or liver then you will love it as you get this most nights. -everything feels very unsafe lots of trip hazards -no air conditioning -small children were being stung including our own, staff were dismissive. -think faulty towers -obviously has a bad reputation as the taxi driver had also taken many back with the same complaints. -no toilets beside pools so you have to walk miles in the heat. The only positives are -the views The kids loved the pool. The hotel will probably post two “amazing” reviews for this bad review.
