Popi Star

I was a guest at the Popi Star hotel for 9 days in July; I wanted to say first of all that it is a 3-star and not a 2-star as some sites show. And it is a 3-star in all respects, even a 4 for me. We had a nice room with a nice little terrace, there was a nice pool, not very big but very cute. The food was very good (we Italians are very picky, especially in Greece), there was a good selection with meats cooked very well, 2/3 desserts per evening and at breakfast, in addition to savory items, always 2 types of croissants. The entire staff is kind and helpful, from the reception to the kitchen and dining room staff, and the housekeeping staff is also very sweet. I recommend Popi Star; we will return. The location is also excellent, about 200 meters from the beach. Gouvia is a small, very quiet town in Corfu!

This hotel is dirty, the food you would not feed to your dog, it's so out dated and the smell of dampness is constant in the rooms.

The hotel is in a great place right on the end of the Main Street for the marina. So everything is on the doorstep. Room was nice with a balcony. Could have had extra pillows and bathroom needed updating but other than that perfect. Food was nice too and good value for money when we booked. Pool area nice too. Staff always helpful and say hello and goodbye.
