Philippos

I have just returned from a solo holiday. Spiros and Loula were so helpful and welcoming. Spiros gave me information about the local area, how to get to the local beaches, the bus service and local supermarkets. They were always around if you needed anything. The apartment i stayed in was beautiful, the views from the terrace were lovely. I would highly recommend Philippos apartments and will look forward to visiting again next year. The island is beautiful with so much to do and see, Nikiana is a beautiful village and is 10 minutes from the apartment walking, it is a lovely walk with some beautiful views. There is a beach across the road from the apartment with a beach bar serving food. Thank you so much Spiros and Loula for the hosptality during my stay.

Arrived very late due to late departure from Manchester (top tip - purchase alcohol in the duty free on the way out) we were met by Spiros who helped us to our room and gave us a bottle of water - well after midnight - gratefully recieved. The family are very nice along with the resident cats. We were in a ground level apartment. The apartment had everything you needed to cook although we didn't use it. The cleaner kept the towels refreshed everyday. It was a touch noisy in the mornings so a lie in was a bit of a challenge (but that's our problem)! The road is busy but we were near the back so no issue really for us. The bus stop is 5 mins walk and isn't very frequent at this time of year but we had no issues using it to go to town or south to Nydri. Nikiana is walkable - 15 minutes, there is a pathway but its not particularly separate from the road so best trialled during daylight. Perfectly good budget friendly hotel.

It's my place of the heart, we've been going for many years and I can't wait to go back, even if this year will be sadder for the lack of 'Friend George. I am sure that Lula and Spiros will be able to fill the void that He has left, with their availability, friendship, kindness.
