Just spent 7 days at San George. Family of 3, 2 adults and 6 year old. Staff are amazing and soo attentive, very friendly towards our son who appreciated the welcome. We stayed in a swim up suite, can not complain about a thing. Clean towels every 2 days, room cleaned every day and pool. Pool is warm and plenty deep enough for a good swim. The main pool also great and warm with plenty of sunbeds around. Breakfast in the morning is fine, it’s not huge but you get a cooked breakfast along with a few pastries and cakes, enough to get you though the morning. The main strip is approx 10/15 min walk for the average able person. Overall can not fault anything. We definitely would stay again. Thanks very much for a great time.

Came last year left some feedback which was addressed with the exception of clean towels 5 days no fresh towels. Our kids got them In the other building. Apart from this it’s great, nice rooms, clean, tidy and really fab staff. It is a 10 min walk to the centre, but we like that. Some Brits reserving beds but there was always some left, it’s a definite gem.

We originally booked our weeks stay in another hotel but due to the lack of info regarding its refurbishment we decided to change a couple of weeks before departure. This was one of the best decisions we've made with regards to holidays. This was our third visit to Sidari having stayed at the end of the main strip and in the Canal d'amour previously. The San George is on a road we didn't even know existed it had various eateries and places to drink and gave off a greek village vibe as it was so traditional and if you continued down the road you came out facing Three Little Pigs. San George comprises of beautiful white washed buildings with blue windows and shutters with the main pool at the front which is set back from the road. The pool is quite big with a small children's section and plenty of free sunbeds. There are 2 bars one inside with lounge seating and a smaller one outside that is open day and night and food can be ordered during certain hours. We stayed in a swim up suite which was spacious and airy with a double (2 singles together) bed and a large sofa bed with air conditioning including which was great. Surprisingly to us there was plenty of storage, wardrobes, drawers, safe, shoe cupboard/table and a huge vanity with mirror and hairdryer. The bathroom was adequate with a bowl basin, walk in shower with rainfall and normal shower heads. We did find a couple of snags regarding the room one was was lack of shelving in the bathroom to pop your shower gel/shampoo on and the other was that all of the tiles throughout the bathroom and suite were very slippy when wet especially after the cleaner, very polite man, had mopped the floor...this didn't interfer with our holiday as they are merely observations. Outside undercover was 2 chairs and a little table and 3 sunbeds facing the generously sized swim up pool. A beautiful, peaceful and relaxing setting which to us was pure luxury overlooking the hotel and lush countryside listening to the chatter of the insects. The breakfast set up was self service but it consisted of only a very basic and minimal spread but if you wanted you could find something. We only went to breakfast once which was our choice as at home we're not breakfast people. Georgia who runs breakfast and the bar during the day is such a lovely, friendly lady and she always greeted us with a smile. Then we have Alex who runs the bar in the evening, sometimes with the help of a young lady who's name I didn't get, he's friendly, polite and easy to chat to plus his cocktails are to die for. The lady and gentleman who own/run the San George are very hospitable and we saw them most days. Finally we have thel cats that reside at the hotel. I'm not a cat person but there were a couple of young cats who liked to sun themselves on the decking and they were a pleasure to watch when they were playing...they don't bother you but they do like to look at you with puzzled little faces. We had decided before this holiday not to return to Sidari as we've been 3 times now but the San George and its staff have made us rethink and we will most definitely be returning in the near future. All I can say is don't be fooled by the main hotels near the strip or even the Canal d'amour which is beautiful but in walking distance and bypass the San George because it is a real hidden gem.
