⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly special week at Grecotel Daphnila Bay Resort! 🇬🇷☀️ We stayed at Grecotel Daphnila Bay Resort for a week in July this year with Jet2holidays, and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, we were completely blown away by this beautiful hotel. ❤️ The hotel itself is stunning, the food was excellent and the staff were absolutely fantastic — so friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and they really made our stay feel extra special. The location is perfect, set on a beautiful peninsula just north of Corfu Town. The transfer from the airport was super quick, which meant that within just a couple of hours of leaving the UK, we were already on the beach enjoying the sunshine! 🛫🏖️☀️ The all-inclusive experience was excellent, with a fantastic choice of food and drinks throughout our stay. We particularly loved that there were no wristbands needed — you simply gave your room number when dining, which made everything feel much more relaxed and upmarket. We also had the opportunity to enjoy three à la carte meals during our week, which was a lovely added bonus. We stayed in one of the Hideaway Bungalows, which were beautifully decorated, romantic and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The air conditioning was an absolute blessing with temperatures reaching around 38°C and the humidity being so high! Coming back to a lovely cool room and sleeping in the air conditioning was pure heaven. 🥵❄️😂 The rooms were also cleaned every day and always kept beautifully. The food was another real highlight. From fresh Mediterranean salads to delicious hot meals, there was always plenty of choice and everything we tried was excellent. 🍽️🥗 We also decided to hire a boat directly from the hotel for the day, which allowed us to explore the stunning North East coastline of Corfu and find some beautiful secluded beaches and hidden little bays. ⛱️🚤 This may not be the cheapest option, but we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to do something a little different. It was such a relaxing and memorable day and a fantastic way to see the island from the water. All in all, we had the most amazing week at Grecotel Daphnila Bay Resort. From the beautiful location and wonderful food to the fantastic staff and our gorgeous Hideaway Bungalow, everything came together to make it a truly special holiday. An Unforgettable Return to Grecotel Magic (With a Few Honest Reflections) Our second experience with Grecotel has been nothing short of magical. After an incredible first stay in Crete, Grecotel Daphnila Bay in Corfu somehow managed to exceed our high expectations. From the moment we arrived and experienced the amazing service from Alexandra, we were wrapped in genuine warmth and luxury, setting the perfect tone for our holiday. The Accommodation & Family Experience: We stayed in a Robinson Crusoe Bungalow with our three children (aged 9, 7, and 4). The room was absolutely gorgeous—beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and a perfect sanctuary for a family of five. The stunning beach was just as perfect, providing an idyllic backdrop for making lifelong family memories. The food choices across the resort were spectacular, and the meals at the à la carte restaurants were great. The Heart of the Hotel: Exceptional StaffWhat truly makes this hotel a paradise is its emotional heart: the staff. We have never encountered a team so genuinely attentive, friendly, and dedicated. A few special souls made our trip unforgettable: Alexandra: Set the standard from day one, wrapping us in incredible service from the moment we arrived and making us feel instantly valued. Alex at Reception: Welcomed us with brilliant efficiency and warmth; every single time we went to reception and he was there, he was just really smiley and always made it seem like he was genuinely happy to see us. Elbi: A wonderful presence we first met at the à la carte restaurant, who continued to look after us with the sweetest care throughout the main restaurants. Yannis at the Pool: Provided amazing, attentive service that kept our days running flawlessly. Nikitas: Shared a beautiful piece of Greek culture with us, teaching us about the traditional evil eye and its history of protection. Our Honest Review of the Kids Club: The girls at the kids club were so lovely and made a wonderful, heartfelt effort with our three children. However, to be completely honest, we did find the kids club a little bit disappointing as the tone felt quite flat compared to the high-energy setup we experienced during our first stay in Crete. We did feel like the energy needed to be picked up a little bit. Because of scheduling, we also missed out on the kids' club disco, which was just on a bit too early for us. Resort Activities We Missed Out On: Separate from the kids club, there were so many other brilliant things on offer across the resort that we simply didn't manage to do because of timing. We missed out on the water sports, the Aqua Park, Danilia Village, and we didn't make use of the free water taxi to the other sister hotels. They all looked amazing, we just didn't get around to them! An Honest Look: The Birthday Dinner & Loyalty Scheme We booked the beachfront Tavernaki restaurant for my husband’s birthday, but it was unfortunately a bit disappointing. The area was covered in wasps, and trying to get three young children to sit through the meal under those conditions was impossible, so we had to leave after our starter. However, the staff were incredibly understanding—Stathis (we believe that was his name) was fantastic and kindly brought a full platter of our food up to the main buffet restaurant so we could finish our meal in comfort. Our only other disappointment relates to the Grecotel Privilege Club loyalty scheme. While the brilliant Alexandra was kind enough to sign us up during this stay, we were deeply saddened to learn that we cannot retroactively add our 2024 holiday to the account. That previous trip was our honeymoon, and as a family, we spent a significant amount of money with the brand. Nobody told us about the scheme at the time, and we feel guests should be allowed to backdate trips by at least two years. It feels like a shame to lose out on those rewards simply because we weren't informed during our first visit. Despite these few hitches, the heart and beauty of Daphnila Bay are undeniable. Thank you for treating us like family—we are still dreaming of our next Grecotel escape!
