Jenny's Apartments

Jenny's is a very pleasant, clean, airy, well appointed apartment with an excellent balcony in the heart of Gaios, however it should come with a warning. Unless you are fit, able and preferably young with little luggage, it is not a good place to stay. On entry at street level you are faced with two uneven, narrow, twisting sets of stairs with no hand rails to speak of. They are a nightmare if you have luggage. There are also four very steep steps to and from the bathroom, again with no hand rail.The owner did remind us later, that this is an old Venetian part of Paxos and we should have expected steep steps but forewarned is forearmed. You will also need a GPS app. as there may not be anyone around to 'meet and greet' you at the apartment. We had to ask various local shop keepers to find the exact location because there was no name to indicate Jenny's apartment, we were just pointed to a door with a key in the lock. The owner had agreed to meet us at the port but cancelled last minute and e-mailed us some taxi telephone numbers instead. Unfortunately, being out of wi fi range whilst travelling, this information did not reach us in time. There are only five taxi's on Paxos and they tend to be fully booked up when the ferries arrive. However, in spite of these problems we did enjoy our stay.

Planning a trip to Corfu and some other well known islands in Greece we wanted a gap filler with easy access from Corfu for a few days Google brought up a tiny island called Paxos a short 90min ferry ride from Corfu Not a lot of 2 bedroom accommodation options We chose Jenny’s apartments because it had a nice size balcony overlooking the city square and harbour It was fantastic The square and all it’s wonderful restaurants where literally metres from our accommodation The steep stairs where difficult to get bags up The two bedrooms where small clean comfortable and both had air con The kitchen was space only for 2 people The balcony was large with sun protection It’s what made the place Paxos was the best place we have ever visited with its crystal clear blue water It felt like you where swimming in an aquarium

Spent a week here in the summer of 2016. Had a beautiful, spacious apartment, very modern and clean, with a nice balcony. All the towns and beaches on the island are very easy to get to by taxi (5-10 euros). The owners are very friendly and kind, really glad to have spent some time with them. Would not consider staying anywhere else if I ever come back to Paxos.
