This hotel needs a serious update Our bathroom stunk of sewage also had a bath with a shower curtain cannot believe they have a curtain in the shower in 2026 our bathroom flooded daily Also be advised this property is at the top of a steep hill it takes 15 minutes to walk to the nearest village I have to say the staff were very friendly but the accommodation in the old block is poor and we noted all the British people were put there and all the European people in the better building! We won't be returning

I left my AirPods under the pillow in my room and contacted the hotel shortly after checking out to let them know exactly where they were. At first, I was told they would check and that I should call back later. When I did call back, I still wasn’t given a clear answer and was again told to call back later. This continued for hours, with no proper update or resolution. They are now ignoring my calls. What made this even more frustrating was the lack of communication. Instead of actually confirming whether the item had been found, I was repeatedly told to ring again later, but never given a direct answer. At one point I was told it might be in laundry, then later told laundry didn’t have it, and even then there was still no clear explanation. For something reported so quickly after checkout, I expected a far more serious and organized response. The whole experience felt careless and dismissive. Losing an item is bad enough, but being left chasing answers and receiving vague, inconsistent responses makes it much worse. A hotel should have a proper lost property process and better communication with guests. This was very disappointing and not the level of service I would expect.
