Booked a week in Aug/Sep during covid while I could. What a lovely hotel. Nikos and Stephen made for an incredible team. One being the traditional friendly Greek character, being complemented by an obviously, experienced Stephen who knew his hospitality trade.
Breakfast consisted of tea or coffee, a fresh orange juice, melon, yoghurt or tomatoes in herbs and oil. A ham and cheese toastie. Toast for marmalade, a cake or chocolate baguette. Extras were available for next to nothing, eggs, ham etc.
The procedures for virus protection were second to none. One way systems, breakfast delivered in a paper bag containing wooden cutlery, butter, marmalade, sugar etc., all seats disinfected before and after use, same with sunbeds and bar seats. A very clear set of rules on room cleaning and laundry changes. Well done, guys.
The hotel situation is lovely and quiet on the outskirts of the village, but close enough to stroll into. The pool was well kept, the bar supplied refreshments all day and plenty of sunbeds. Warning: There is no shade at all in the pool area, so you may have to resort to the pool bar every so often! I know I did.
Bed was comfortable, shower water was hot, I was even supplied with a pair of disposable towelling slippers for the bathroom. Room was fine, I didn't need air con, but if you are upstairs try and book a room that has it in July/Aug/Sep.
I am in my 60s and was a lone traveller and the 2 guys kept me entertained for the week and are very informative. I will be going back, and will be taking with my wife next time.
Thank you Niko and Stephen.
David.

It's a small and quiet hotel located close to the beachfront (5min walk), pebble beach.
Semeli is not a 5* hotel but rooms and hotel are clean and well maintained and the
Pricing is quite attractive,
Rooms are clean,
Balcony,
Beds are basic,
Toilet & shower are basic,
Personelle is friendly,
Breakfast is ok,
Free wifi,
Pool is nice and clean and has a small pool bar,
Some rooms have optional airconditioning.
Still room for improvements off course (The economic crisis also hit Corfu hard), but I'm pretty sure it will happen.

Positives.
The water pressure and the consistency of the water temperature of the shower in the room we had was the best we've ever had in any of the places we've stayed in Greece. Nice 15 mins stroll into Roda Village, beautiful sunsets if you time the walk into the village. That's it....... !!!
I could rant on for ages but the simple facts are that the people who own/run/manage the property don't care. The manager/owner what ever he is, has to be the laziest and most unfriendly hotelier I've ever had the misfortune to come in contact with. During the limited pool opening times all he does is sit behind the poorly stocked pool bar and grunt at any body who's desperate enough to ask him for food or drink. It's a lovely big pool but pretty grimey, and you can understand why when again, Mr manager sits on his stool and watches the guests go round the pool with a net fishing out the dead bugs at least 3 times a day every day.
I've left it a while to write this review in the hope I could be a little more retrospective and not have a knee jerk reaction to the utter lack of pride shown by the staff here, but I still find myself getting really cross. I think they should close up and sell it on to some body who gives a damn.
Rooms are below basic
pool is dirty
service is non existent
Buy a tent and sleep on the beach.
