Best Western Zante Park

Me and my daughter came from 17-27th July , we were upgraded on arrival to a fabulous suite with a swim up pool outside our window and sunbathing deck. The staff are lovely and welcoming , the servers in the restaurant are just the sweetest people . Food was nice but very much the same so we ate out a few times too . The communal pool is so lovely and although it’s the summer holidays it’s not Been too busy , plenty of sunbeds available every day . Plenty of shops and restaurants very close by and only a few minutes walk to the beach . There’s a fabulous restaurant on the beach called blue waves , great food there. Plenty of drinks available on the all inclusive here, even simple cocktails . There was only entertainment a couple of times at the hotel while we were here but lots of bars close by with music and sports . This is a quiet hotel if you want a relaxing break , nothing really for children to do here but the beach is so close that’s easily solved . There’s are lots of local companies offering excursions to see the turtles and other boat trips too . Had a lovely time here , the area is very busy but the hotel itself snd atmosphere has been amazing . There’s cleaners that will come daily with fresh towels and linen so your well looked after . I have been here a total of 1 day. I would say that this is probably the equivalent of a 3 star hotel at best. We have a premium swim up room and we are here as a family of 4. The fold up bed is the equivalent of a camp bed. The room is dated clean ish. Our shower sprays all over the room so a technician needs to be sent to fix it. The main bed bases are ripped the furniture is warped at the bottom and the whole room is seriously I need of a refurbishment. The swim up pool at the back is the best part I think at this point its all im paying for. There isn't enough drainage on the terrace so it floods. I have asked to change room but they just began to interrogate me about what's wrong with the room and declined. The main pools are okay not very deep though there are alot of sun loungers which is okay. The food is okay but the all inclusive drinks especially the sugar free are vile. We have taken to buying in some drinks from a little shop opposite the hotel. In summary most definitely not a 5 star and not worth the money if they reduced the price upgraded the rooms and drink menu would possibly be worth a visit.

The hotel calls itself a 5-star hotel in the local category... Therefore, € 15 per room per night is due upon arrival. In addition, a security deposit of € 50 is held for the room (but you get it back upon departure, provided nothing was destroyed). The food is max. 3-star level. Breakfast is richer and better in some 3-star hotels in Italy or Austria. You will look in vain for fresh fruit. Mostly just orange and grapefruit slices. Watermelon mostly only at lunch and dinner. Lunch/dinner very monotonous and blandly seasoned. Not a single day had a highlight! Seafood is only available sparingly in sauce/paella/fried calamari rings. The ice cream tastes cheap and is in large containers - vanilla is almost always empty and fruit ice cream is extremely artificial. The drinks are all sweet pre-mixed concoctions and don't really taste like the actual product. There is no menu for the all-inclusive drinks at the pool bar. Only the cocktails are posted on the sides. But they only taste artificial and sweet. The tables are worn out. Furthermore, disposable plastic cups are used! Not very sustainable! The hotel has simply aged. Entertainment: Aqua Zumba every day at 12:30 PM - very smart in the peak heat - also the same boring choreography for every song. Music at the pool is often really annoying - nothing current. Guests: predominantly Poles, Czechs, and British. For your information: the swim-up pool rooms are located in the annex across the street. Wi-Fi no longer works there. Only plus point: the entire staff is very friendly. Christos at the pool bar is especially extremely friendly! Conclusion: the hotel has a lot of room for improvement and is currently not worth the money!!!
