Plaza Hotel

A small hotel (17 rooms) on a busy street, which is not bothersome because only 30 km/h is allowed due to the school next door. So the noise level is low. Our room was very cramped; instead of a wardrobe, there was a kind of coat rack with a shelf underneath. There was no German channel on the television. The breakfast was very basic but sufficient, probably because only 3 to 4 rooms were occupied in May. It must be mentioned that the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Didi at the reception sent us off every day with tips for excursions. Since our expectations for comfort during vacation are not very high, we enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Plaza Hotel.

Superb hotel, representing excellent value for money, on the edge of Zakythnos town, but 10 minute walk from the main square. Most rooms have a sea view, the higher you go the better they are. The beds are extremely comfortable and probably the best bathroom we’ve experienced in Greece. We stayed in 402 which had a massive balcony and stunning wrap around views. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Special shout out to Didi, absolute super star. Breakfast has plenty of choice, better than a lot of Greek offerings. Yes there’s a couple of rough looking beach buildings opposite but the beach beyond has crystal clear water and beautiful one pebbles ( no sand.)

The hotel is in an excellent location with a great view of the sea, the rooms are spotlessly clean, excellent mattress, great and full breakfast, although it is on the street there was no noise in the room. the staff very welcoming and helpful.
