Ifestos Hotel

Unfortunately, I have to write a bad review of the hotel. Usually I write about how nice everything was, I notice the nice little things and praise them. Not this time. As always, I read the reviews before leaving and they seemed fine to me. I thought: if it's good for the Scandinavians, it'll be good for us too (but they have better rooms on the west side, I found out later). But arriving at the room was a big disappointment: a modestly furnished room overlooking the road and the city park. We were right next to the road, not two meters away, on the lower floor. There were a lot of people gathering in the park, children with balls and bicycles, and it was generally very noisy well after midnight. I went to the reception to ask if it was possible to change the room to a less noisy one and was refused. The hotel is full, he said (??). The next day the same, so I gave up. The balcony was also in the hot sun from early morning until mid-afternoon, unusable. I won't talk about the bathroom because everything seemed unimportant to me afterwards. Not even about the breakfast... The only good thing was the big fridge and the working air conditioning. For the first time, I was counting the days until I would go home. Lemnos is the twelfth Greek island I've visited, so I know roughly what to expect. I was really looking forward to it because I know that every Greek island has its own soul and charm. It's a shame that it will end up on the Never Again list due to the wrong choice of hotel!

Hotel with really good location in quiet area, close to lovely beach and 10 min. walk to the center of town. The host family is absolutely fantastic helpful and friendly. The room we had was nice and clean , closets for clothes and deposition options , there was a lovely balcony to the park . Overall a lovely stay, we would love to come back.

A nice hotel with good standard for its stars. Extra big plus to the staff who are always nice and treat you in an exceptional way. Good distance to both beach and city. We spent 2 weeks here. Limnos as an island and Myrina as a city are a good choice for an authentic Greek feel.
