Archontiko Mytilinis

we stayed in this lovely hotel overnight during the weekend, that we arranged taking advantage of the aegean air offers for low cost flights within greece. we were specifically looking for a hotel in the capital of the island. the archontiko hotel was the perfect base for exploring the city of mytilene and the surrounding. firstly, the location was just great, a bit out of the city center and walking crowds (20 minutes on foot from the port). the hotel itself was very atmospheric, it occupied the old mansion and the interior was thoughtfully designed so that the style of this old house remained as if it was still inhabited by its owners, with lots of wood, stone and metal elements. it was a memorable experience!

I was amazed with the quality of the service and the friendliness of the staff who were always ready to help. For instance, I was checking out early in the morning so they organised breakfast for me at 5am, even though it normally starts at 7am or so. I must admit, it was a very pleasant surprise as other hotels - and I travel quite a bit - did not offer such service. The hotel itself was very nice. Good location, though a bit away from the port and the city centre. The rooms were clean, neat and tidy. The room service was excellent. I believe it was worth even cent!
