We arrived in an unseasonably cold spell, and the apartment was warm and welcoming. Luckily the weather improved the next day and we had a fabulous time at this great accommodation. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the beach and 5 minutes walk from the main square in Skala Kallonis, so it is perfectly placed. The facilities are great - a spacious bedroom with lots of space for clothes, large living area with a balcony and well-equipped kitchen area, and a compact bathroom. We had everything we needed for an excellent 12 day stay. Ignatios and Stella were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very at home.

This is a lovely small hotel with excellent beds, spotlessly clean. Staff are generous, warm people. It's a few steps to town, out of the fray so is quiet and right across from the mellow beach. Restaurants within steps, I highly recommend this place. Skala is a small village where Europeans holiday every year, it's quite different than the over run beaches on other islands. We loved the slower pace and the Island of Lesvos is gorgeous and has lots of interesting things to see. Well worth a longer stay to slow down here. Easy access to the rest of the island from here if you have a car.

Booked 3 nights in a ground floor one bedroom sea view apartment for my first visit to Skala Kallonis. I needed somewhere spacious as I use sticks or a rollator (wheeled walking aid) to mobilise. A warm welcome on arrival from Ignatius the Manager and he made sure I had all the information I needed including his contact details. The apartment is nicely decorated and well equipped with a large sofa bed suitable for adults in the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner and an air con unit in both rooms. The double bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in on holiday in Greece with good quality pillows and bed linen. Lots of storage space and hangers provided. Dressing table with decent lighting and a wall mounted hairdryer. Insect screens on both sets of patio doors and bathroom window. The shower room is compact and has a shower curtain which bothers some people but not me. The most important thing is the shower drains well and is constructed so that it can’t flood the room. As with many showers in Greek accommodation there is nowhere to put shampoo or soap. I came ready prepared with products that can hang from the tap. These days I need to travel with my own non slip shower mat, I can’t recall the last time one was provided anywhere. It was good to have a plastic stool and soft pristine towels. The bed linen and towels were changed on the 2nd day, the apartment cleaned and bins emptied. If you need or want to empty your bins daily, there are skips just a few metres along the road. The hotel is located directly in front of a children’s playground with views across to the beach. The playground was used by local families in the early evening and a few teenagers congregated later. At no time was I disturbed by any noise. Each morning Ignatius made a point of checking that I was managing ok and kindly retrieved a plastic bottle which had rolled under the bed which I couldn’t reach. As a fiercely independent disabled solo traveler the level of support and kindness offered by the team was well judged, thank you! On departure I received a lovely gift but also the promise of assistance should I need it as I travelled on to my next destination on Lesvos. I enjoyed my very short stay in Skala Kallonis and would return to Arisvi without hesitation. Highly recommended.
