Saint Nicholas

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. It was a very relaxing, calm place to be. There is a beautiful pebbly beach, with wonderful views, a minute's walk from the hotel, with sun loungers and parasols provided. The room was clean and comfortable, regularly cleaned, with towels and bed linen frequently refreshed. The hotel pool was well maintained with ample sunbeds. The pool bar provided beer, wine, soft drinks and ouzo with a machine for tea and coffee. Cakes and fruit were also available during the day. Mealtimes were fantastic, with good, fresh, home-cooked greek food, with plenty of choice and time enough to relax and enjoy the experience. All of the staff were fantastic, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They made our stay all the more enjoyable. Thespina the owner was lovely and runs an amazing hotel. She helped us sort out our car rental from a local firm which offered competitive rates. She also helped me out with bite cream which was much appreciated until I could get to a pharmacy. There are exceptional places to visit in this historical island as well as a lovely local town Pythagorio. Our stay was such good value when we consider how much was included. We are so looking forward to returning in June next year as we have already rebooked.

Immaculate hospitality, very clean spaces!

Our May 2026 stay at the Saint Nicholas Hotel was a huge disappointment, and we strongly advise against it. It's the worst all-inclusive experience we've ever had. The food was monotonous, tasteless, and practically the same every day. After a few days, we were fed up with the cafeteria, as it was difficult to find anything we wanted. The all-inclusive offer is a complete disaster – terrible quality vending machine coffee, tea, and the only alcohol options were ouzo, beer, and three types of dry wine: white, rosé, and red. The rest of the alcohol costs extra. This is the first time we've encountered an all-inclusive vacation where we have to go to the store and buy our own alcohol for an evening drink. Another absurdity is the lack of kettles in the rooms. They are only available in select rooms, and the owner asks guests not to mention this because the hotel doesn't have any more. It's hard to believe the hotel skimps on even such basic amenities. This was our second stay on the island of Samos, and we have something to compare it to. We'd previously stayed at the Arion Hotel, where, despite a similar alcoholic beverage selection, the food was delicious, fresh, and varied. The difference here is huge, and unfortunately, it falls very short of the Saint Nicholas. The hotel completely fails to meet all-inclusive standards. It's a waste of money and a waste of energy. We definitely won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
