Galini Pension

Note that this review is based on the room that we had. I am sure that there may be better ones, but we were not offered one of these, despite it being mid-September. We have stayed in over 35 places in the last 4 months of travel and this was in the bottom tenth. This is not to say that this means the place is necessarily poor as we do choose places with good to very good ratings.

Pension Galini is a small place just a couple of minutes from the lovely port at Katapola. There you can catch a boat for a 10 minute trip to maltezi Beach - a beautiful little bay - perfect for lazing in the sun and swimming. Lots of great restaurants nearby too - check out Mouragio by the port fir great local cuisine. The rooms at Galini are cleaned daily and they have air con, a small fridge in a little kitchen area with sink, kettle, cooking pots etc and a hot plate for cooking if you wish. The toilet and shower rooms really good and very modern. There are tablues and chairs outside each room for sitting in the lovely garden. The upstairs rooms have nice big balconies. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced for a Greek island this time of year too. Highly recommended.

Decent rooms in a quiet spot about 5 minutes walk into the port area,the rooms were comfy and finished with some nice touches we have had to mark it down as we were allocated a ground floor room with no views after we booked a 2 roomed apartment with views 6 months in advance a mix up on the booking system apparently .
