Mykonos Palace

The people were super willing at all times, but the apartment did not have what we needed to cook, but they brought us everything we asked for, there was only one fire, and this did not change. There was no oven, no microwave, no TV.

If I could give this 0 stars then I would say that it would still be a rating that is too high. Where to even start. When we arrived to the hotel the room was dirty, there was literally dirt all over the floor that had to be swept up from someone before we could enter. I’m surprised they even offered to sweep it up. When it rained, all the water got through and the floor was soaked. The connection was so bad that I couldn’t even listen to music. You have to pay just to use the sun beds even though your paying 180 euros a night for the cheap room. When we told them about the flooded room, not only did they not offer a discount for that night, they also said that we couldn’t have a refund for the next night as we didn’t even want to stay there. We still ended up leaving as it still wasn’t worth staying there even though we couldn’t get a refund. The manager was also rude and unhelpful. This is the most overpriced place in the existence of the universe.

We stayed two nights and while our view from the room was beautiful we most definitely could have done better. Our room was small, bathroom extremely small. No bar soap provided in the room. You had to shut the door just to use the commode. No coffee in room and we had bugs crawling out of our sink! Front staff friendly ness and helpfulness left much to be desired I was afraid to ask them for anything. Extremely unhelpful. We had asked about transportation to the shopping area and were told a shuttle or taxi for 40 Euros. What they failed to tell us is there is a public bus that goes into the town every 15 minutes for 1,80 Euros right around the corner. Our room was right behind the pool bar area and pool and it was so noisy at night with music until probably past 2:00 am it seemed like. If you want to lay out by pool where you don’t pay for the lounge chair you will have no view of the ocean as the view is blocked by the bar. If you want to stay on lounges you will pay at a minimum 40 Euro (depending on season and how close lounge is to water) to lay there. We loved Mykonos, but next time we will know better to pick our hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.
