Princess of Naxos

This family owned hotel was a wonderful experience. Mostly because Elena, the manager of the hotel. We felt very welcome and she did all she could and more to make us comfortable. We had a nice apartment type of room, two effective air conditioners, good fridge, nice rain shower. Breakfast was ok, every morning exactly the same, but quite good variety to choose from. Lunch options were very limited as it was not yet high season (June 6th-13th). Swimming pool was nice and not at all crowded. It took us about 15-20 minutes to walk to Naxos center. You can take a beach walk rather than walk by a busy road. That was not mentioned anywhere but we figured out a nice easy route. Taxi to and from the hotel to the center was 15 euros one way. There is a really good car rental behind the hotel, we strongly recommend it! Kostas is the best! We happily recommend this cosy hotel.

Comfortable room but very poorly soundproofed. More hot water if showering a bit late in the morning. Breakfast service was very casual, spending more time on the mobile phone than attending to the customers. Located outside the city but accessible on foot.

We paid 15 euro hotel tax at Princess of Naxos upon check out when the Manager of Princess requested. However, later on we found out from our Intrepid travel group that it is covered by intrepid and we should not have paid it. We informed our Intrepid tour guide and requested him to follow up with the Manager of Princess of Naxos. Our Intrepid tour guide promised that it’s all sorted and the refund of the hotel tax will be processed. To date, we have not received any refund. This is so disappointing with the Princess of Naxos scamming us of the 15 Euros hotel tax. The 3 nights stay at Princess of Naxos was not premium at all as the location was too far from town, the hotel was run down and the breakfast was disappointing.
