Belle Helene Apartments

Actually stayed in Aug 2006. One of the best holidays we ever had. The location is near to Trianda, which is whatever you want it to be, romantic restaurant or night club, they are all there. Empires cafe is good. Belle Helene is across the road from the Ixian Grand, we called there for aperatifs & were made very welcome, the hotel is spectacular, but too many people for us. Also nearby is Rhodes Town, a cheap Taxi ride away & a very interesting town, something for everyone, history, shops, bars, restaurants, you name it, apart from Sainsburys it has it all, even M&S have a store ! Would only go back to Rhodes if we could stay here ! We did not find the owners un-friendly but they were not 'in your face' if you needed them they would help. Only one day Nikos was a little surly when we moved two sun loungers onto the grass into the shade but we got over it ! the pool is fine if you slap on the mosi guard ! the bar is good. We did not stay for the BBQ, preferring to eat out. Overall enjoyed staying here very much & would recommend it to anyone.

A fabulous place. Basic, clean and quiet. The couple who run it couldn't do enough for you. Lovely little bar area beside the pool and most nights everyone would gather here for a nightcap. We stayed for one week and wished we had stayed longer. On a busy main road but you can avoid this by going out the back way. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Close to lots of restaurants and bars. Loved every minute of it.

My wife and I have just returned from a stay at the Belle Helene Aparthotel in Ixia Rhodes. Although the accommodation is close to a main road the majority of the rooms are quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had plenty of space for two people, the apartments are spotless and are well furnished. The owners Nikos and Irmgard were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us and treated us like part of their family. Most weeks during the season Nikos has a BBQ and the food never seems to stop coming. Don't be afraid to call on Nikos or Irmgards local knowledge they are a great source of information. Ixia is a great place to base yourself if you want to explore the island either by car or the local buses as they run past the front door. There are ample amounts of restaurants and tavernas within walking distance as we stayed for two weeks and didn't need to eat in the same one twice. So to sum up our holiday,it was very relaxing with good food and great company. We will go back again without any hesitation. Thanks to Nikos ,Irmgard Pasha, Ivan and Roxy.
