The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the location is perfect. Most of the staff are friendly and the housekeeping is excellent. Unfortunately, our holiday was quite badly affected by the large groups of teenagers who seemed to take over much of the hotel during our stay. They ran through the hallways, shouted, played loud music, and constantly slammed doors. Especially in the evenings and at night, this caused a huge amount of disturbance. We did get the impression that the hotel was actively trying to get the situation under control. Reception and security regularly spoke to the teenagers, and the staff seemed to be actively looking for solutions. After we reported the disturbance ourselves, we were also offered a different room. We accepted the move and went to another floor, but unfortunately it was exactly the same there. So, sadly, changing rooms did not help. I have noticed that the hotel says in its replies to reviews that it has a "zero tolerance" policy and that it can sometimes be a little noisy because of the different types of guests. Of course, we understand that different kinds of guests stay at a hotel and that some noise is unavoidable. However, our experience went far beyond "occasional noise". It was happening every evening and every night. For that reason, I think the hotel's "zero tolerance" policy should be taken with a grain of salt in this case. The hotel was clearly making an effort to speak to the teenagers and improve the situation, but there were very few noticeable consequences for their behaviour. As a result, the teenagers didn't seem to take the warnings seriously and the disturbance kept happening. At the same time, we did get the impression that the hotel was working on stricter rules and actively looking for solutions, which we appreciated. That makes it even more of a shame, because otherwise it is a nice hotel with many positive points. But the ongoing disturbance ruined a significant part of our holiday and meant that we didn't get the peace and relaxation we came for. For that reason, we would not book this hotel again during the high season.

We checked in as a family of 5 to be given rooms on separate floors. It was as advertised as a family hotel which is far from the truth. We stayed for a week and during this time there were up to 10 groups of late teen single sex groups who were there to party. The noise at night made it hard to sleep as there was music and slamming of doors into the early hours of the morning. This was happening on all floors of the hotel. Beautiful hotel, most if the staff are lovely just not the family break we had saved for.

We have coming here for nearly 20years And I agree with DAYTRIP66696918373 In late June and July the noise from 18years has got a lot worse over the last few years and the staff have tried to help but they just laugh and carry on drinking in the rooms etc I won’t be going in July anymore it’s not worth the aggravation from them . I feel sorry for the families with young children As usual the staff are great and I would give them 5 stars .
