Have just returned from a lovely and very comfortable stay at this hotel, set in lovely surroundings with a beautiful Chapel next to the pool. A great base to explore Pefkos and the surrounding area. It’s one of three hotels on the complex and is the better choice in our opinion, for appearance and setting. The rooms are spacious with comfortable large beds, decent pillows, and the air con is just about sufficient, but seeing as it’s free, and not charged as an extra, you can’t really complain. We had a top floor room, that provided stunning views of Pefkos and gorgeous sunsets from a large balcony. The hotel is clean and well kept, offering maid service daily and the staff are all very friendly. A special mention to the guys at Almyra Pool Bar, who were fantastic and always happy to chat, they are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast had lots of options depending on what you wanted, with items replenished if ran out. The onsite shop is great and well stocked, with everything you need and more. Towards the last couple days of our holiday when the whole complex became evidently busier, sunbeds were starting to be reserved from around 7am, or earlier. Sadly, this is becoming a theme pretty much everywhere these days, so not a reflection on the hotel itself, but something to be aware of if planning to come here at busy times. However, this didn’t spoilt it for us as had trips out planned and overall we had a fabulous stay and would return.

This is a nice hotel which we will almost certainly return to. It is ideally located for the beach and the centre of town, Pefkos is a fantastic place and will be somewhere we visit again and again.
On arrival we were enthusiastically greeted, although check in seemed to take longer than it should. We were given one card for the room, which means if you are out the aircon does not work, which we found out when we got to the room as it was unbearably hot, the temperature was approx 25 degrees, it was 10pm an night and it led to an uncomfortable first nights stay as the aircon could not cool the room quickly. The hotel should ensure rooms are not hot when guests arrive late into the evening.
We were driven to the room by George, who is a credit to the hotel.
The following morning we found the breakfast to be adequate, it wasn't anything special, the quality fo the produce was acceptable but not spectacular, the bacon was more like thin ham, but we found something to eat every day, although some things were inconsistently provided, eg the fruit seemed to change most days, some days they had oranges, other days not. The speed at which the food was replenished was slow.
The pools and communal areas were nicely maintained and clean and tidy, the staff were always friendly and usually made a point of saying hello to the guests. The atmosphere was always relaxed. There is little in the way of entertainment at this hotel, which is fine as you can find plenty in the local bars just 5 minutes away.
The food and drinks in the pool bars were fairly priced and reasonable, the food was hit and miss with the food served at the Pool Bar in the Island blue poor compared to that in the adjoining hotel.
If I could offer the hotel any advice:
1. Make sure rooms are not excessively hot when guests arrive.
2. Drop the price of the safety deposit box - most hotels offer this free now, to try and charge 30euro for a week is way too much.
3. Put larger TVs in the room, in the event you might want to watch something (the world cup is on) then the TVs are tiny.
4. The aircon is adequate - not good, consider adding some ventilation to the bathrooms which the aircon does not cover and the one window that opens lets mozzies in.
5. Consider upgrading some of the breakfast items, the bacon is poor as are the sausages.
6. Consider offering a late checkout option, asked and was told could pay for an extra night, although you did allow us to use to the shower room for free (a spare hotel room) but it was not cleaned in between guest stays and was generally dirty.
7. The beds are hard and feel like they are made of synthetic material, they are not comfortable and when your partner turns over it feels like you are in a boat, we generally slept poorly due to poor beds and pillows. But we know this now and can be ready if we return.

Travelled as 3 couples. We booked direct and we each had a poolside room. Rooms are extremely spacious as was the bed. Air con was included in the price although I'm not sure if that would be an extra if booking through a holiday company. We also had free airport transfers. The lads that worked at the poolside bar worked their backsides off and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The only down side was the sunbeds. None of us like reserving beds but unfortunately if you wanted a bed round the pool you had no choice but to do the same as everyone else, otherwise you just wouldn't get one. To be honest I never saw a sign saying you couldn't put towels down before 10am, but even if there is one no one took any notice of it. Maybe thats something the hotel need to be more pro active on. That said we had a great holiday and it wouldn't stop me from staying there again.
