Stegna Mare

We first stayed here at the Stegna Mare when I was pregnant with my oldest son who turns 20 in 2025. Even from the first visit we knew we would return again and again …and we have! Many times. The rooms are beautifully laid out, extremely clean and the lovely family that runs it are a joy. We look forward to our next visit 🤩😍🥰

Me and my family had a fantastic vacation and a great accommodation in stegna Bay. The reason I put a? as a title is because I got a bit disappointed at the end. We stayed there 10 days and we only got towels and sheets changed 2 times. Greece is the best country for vacation with the best hospitality and actually daily cleaning in every kind of accommodation. This is at least what I and those I know have experienced so far. The last day of my accommodation I met with the owner (fotini) in order to pay her for our accommodation where I told her how happy we were and that I will recommend the hotel to my friends. I started very friendly to talk about the cleaning and the changing of the sheets and towels, sth that I found it not enough, but the owner didn't really want to listen to what I said and with an arguing way she gave me some information which I didn't know and when I said that we didn't get those information she replied to me"you didn't ask me". I stopped there.

Just returned after spending 10 lovely nights at Stegna Bay. We arrived an hour earlier than expected so rang Fotini the owner and we only had to wait 15 minutes before she turned up with the keys and a very friendly welcome. The apartment had a very high standard of cleanliness and all kitchen implements that you need were supplied and the complimentary nibbles and bottle of wine were a lovely touch. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. The A/C was fine although a bit loud and we couldn't reduce the fan setting. We were in room 1 on the ground floor and although the banana tree infront of the balcony provided some shade, it was very hot to sit on the balcony in the mornings. Fotini did tell us that they are hoping to install either big umbrellas or roller shades on the balconies for next season. Its only a few minutes walk to the beach and tavernas. Talking of which, I thoroughly recommend Marias taverna. If you turn left out the apartments and walk towards the sea front and its just on the left hand side. You will need a torch for the return as its very dark. The apartments have now been repainted a lovely grey and the windows have shutter blinds. Fotini will help you in any way she can and is always looking to improve the look of the place. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.
