Absolutely beautiful, stole my heart, my 1st sunset in Santorini & after visiting the island, it was my favourite 🫶 the only restaurant with 6 tables! The food, staff, wine were excellent too! It was our anniversary meal & my husbands special birthday! It was definitely one to remember, we will be back in October!

Some people come to Santorini without renting a car. Cruise ships, obviously. People staying along the Fira/Oia corridor who aren't leaving that area, or using bus transit if they are. But if you're renting a car so you can see parts of Santorini other than Fira/Oia, Athermi Suites is a perfect place to stay. Centrally located in the middle of the island, but by the western edge of the island so you get a beautiful view of the caldera from the pool, the restaurant, or some of the rooms. And it's very quiet, compared to a room in Fira or Oia. The staff is excellent and helpful, we got great advice from Spyros, the concierge. We stayed in the honeymoon suite (room 103) which has the bed up a staircase and the living room and bathroom downstairs. Beautiful view of the caldera from this room's balcony. A large bathroom with lots of counter space. Excellent WiFi. Only problem with the room was that the wood stair case squeaks, so if your partner gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, you'll hear it. For breakfast, you fill out a form the night before with lots of choices. We ate dinner at the restaurant both nights, the food was very good. (Posting pictures of the menu, which is difficult to find online.) If you want to drive 5-10 minutes, there are lots of restaurants nearby in Megalochori.

We are not in the habit of leaving reviews, but this hotel compels us to do so. We had booked 6 nights, but upon our arrival, there was no reservation in our name, despite an invoice and a confirmation in the hotel's name. The "professionals" (who are only professionals in name) made us wait over 4 hours at the reception, claiming to be looking for a solution. Their solution: pay an additional 700 euros or stay in the neighboring hotel (of significantly lower standing). 4 hours later, refusing to pay more, the friendliness of the "professionals" suddenly vanished, and we had to stay in another hotel. A practice and reception more than questionable for a hotel, especially since this is clearly not the first time this has happened... (despite the fact that the manager made us believe otherwise).
