Dreaming View Suites

The most beautiful view I've seen in my life!! The staff was quite friendly, bringing us breakfast to our rooms every morning. The outdoor jacuzzi was great during the day, but the water couldn't get warmer at night, especially with the windy weather at the beginning of summer.

We stayed in the Executive Suite at Dreaming View Suites, Imerovigli, and overall had a really lovely time. The main selling point here is without a doubt the stunning views over the caldera – honestly, pictures online just don’t do Santorini justice, and waking up to that view every day was unforgettable. That being said, like some other reviews have mentioned, the rooms could do with a bit of TLC. It’s a little run down in places, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we didn’t have any issues with noise or cleanliness. For us, it was fine because we spent most of our time exploring the island rather than sitting in the room. But if you’re someone who wants luxury and plans to spend a lot of time inside, it may not be the perfect fit – especially given the price point. The staff were absolutely lovely – very warm and welcoming, which really made a difference to our stay. Breakfast wasn’t a 10/10 experience, but it was perfectly fine, and more than enough to set us up for a day of walking and exploring. As for Santorini itself – it’s truly breathtaking. The island is full of steps and hills, so be prepared for a lot of walking (I did over 100,000 steps in just 4 nights!). Fira ended up being our favourite spot, with more going on and slightly wider streets than Oia, though of course you’ll pay a premium for any restaurant or bar with a caldera view. Oia is beautiful, but in my opinion a little overrated compared to Fira. One of the highlights of our trip was the cruise tour of the volcano, hot springs, and Thirassia. I couldn’t recommend it enough – the boat trip itself was brilliant, and even though I wish we’d had a little longer at the hot springs, it was such a memorable experience and really worth doing. A small tip for anyone planning a visit: keep an eye on how many cruise ships are docked. On our first day there were six, and Fira was absolutely jam-packed – the queue for the cable cars snaked all through the narrow streets, making it difficult to move around. The next day there was only one cruise ship, and the difference was huge – it felt calm, relaxed, and we could actually take in all that the island had to offer. Overall, while the accommodation isn’t flawless, the views, location, and staff more than made up for it. We would happily stay here again, especially as a base for exploring the island.

Our stay in this particular hotel only dreaming was not. We stayed in the executive suite (just for one night fortunately) and we regretted every euro we gave. Specifically, entering the room you see the outside door which does not lock in some way to be rusted and in very bad condition. The yellow jacuzzi in several points leaving questions about its cleanliness. The table that exists outside for breakfast had detached the upper part of the legs that is supported. When you enter the room, you first see the door that is damaged and hate to touch it. The first impression of the room once we entered was a clean room. Looking in greater detail we found dust and hairs between the bed layer, rusting shower and siphons in the bathroom with the culmination to find the evening 2 cockroaches. How much more disgusting... we opened a closet and saw the knives in a miserable condition and they were supposed to be used if we wanted to. The breakfast was busy... only butter and all the honey and jam we asked for. That is, the yogurt and bread we would eat with butter if possible. The sugar-free coffee table to add, the knives they brought for breakfast were filthy. The worst room I've ever had is staying!
