Salty Beach

Confused as to where to leave this review as I cannot find it on here, we booked for Aggelos Studio's, got dropped at Meteora & ended up in a suite in Riva's so I'll leave it here & attach a picture for everyone!! Good points: On arrival Irene was so lovely and welcoming, showed us all the possible things to do on the island during our stay, called us a free mini bus to go to the local supermarket to pick up some supplies and in general was just very warm & helpful :) the gentleman (didn't catch his name) who appeared to be an owner as well was great too, helped us with our airport transfer. The room, WOW! Royal Suite was nothing less than stunning, decor done to a very high standard, built in surround sound system, power shower, bar, beautiful royal theme 4-poster bed...literally felt like a king & queen! From what I could see, it honestly looked like the room as never been used...everything was brand new, felt very special. Air-con fantastic. Pool right outside room, very quiet and very clean (this was known as Riva's area) Beach can literally be seen from apartment, few feet away. Area is like a hidden gem- busy yet quiet such a nice mix! Bad points: The only possible one I can think of was that the suite was next to the kitchen so could be a bit loud but it honestly didn't bother us! I would recommend HIGHLY....don't just book a general studio, book the royal suite, you won't regret it!

While the room was basic with air conditioning, tv, kilometre and free wifi, the restaurant, bar and free beach umbrellas were amazing. The staff were so generous with free shots and desserts and welcoming everytime. The restaurant was absolutely the most amazing food I have ever had, especially the traditional lamb shank. The Greek night was amazing, I even got up and danced the zorba with Greek dancers. Of my entire Europe holiday this is the place I will definitely go back to. The hotel was clean, service was good and we enjoyed playing the pool. Hotel was really a bargain for the price and i will recommend this for every budget traveller and island hopper in the cyclades region. Beds were great, and me and my wife got best sleeps in this hotel on our trip. The included breakfast includes coffee or tea and toast, if you want something extra -it will cost you more.
