Kam Fu Guest House

I understand that hostels in HK are small and nothing too fancy, but this was just horrible. Pictures on hotels.com show clean, nice rooms, but in reality they are mouldy and filthy. Picture that was presented on the website had a different hallway, our room was somewhere in a cramped corner and it was a far cry from the pictures shown. Broken electrical wires hanging from the walls, mould everywhere, paint falling off with crumbles of it all over the place. Pretty much all of the room is filled with dirt and I don't even want to know what some of the stains are. Bugs crawled out of the sink. Reception was on a different floor, there was no information about this anywhere in the building. A grumpy, hangoverish guy opened the door after we had been knocking it for 5 minutes, and managed to send us downstairs. Basically no English was spoken, so it was pretty hard to know what was going on. After reading some of the reviews about this hostel I still keep wondering if we are even in a same place... because this is far from budget-friendly, affordable and comfortable. You can get better places with same amount of money. I feel a bit tricked because I didn't see this coming, otherwise would've picked another hostel. I know that photos can lie, but the reviews were also inaccurate when it comes to describing this place. Maybe others had stayed in totally different rooms, but this one is definitely not one from those reviews.
