Noah’s Ark Hotel & Resort

I booked the dinosaur themed room and the reaction of my daughters was fantastic when I asked them to go into the room first. Their screams of delight and surprise were priceless. The hotel is on the the top floor of an ark shaped building and in an interesting and scenic location on Ma Wan island - it makes a good picture from the outside. I read somewhere that this Ark was built to the dimensions of Noah's Ark described in the Bible, which is pretty fascinating. I like the ethos of the hotel which emphasises looking after our environment (we only have one Earth) and respecting nature and one another. Our room was perfect for a family of 4. It has two showers and two toilets which is very unusual for any hotel room, but very convenient when all trying to get ready at the same time. I recommend this for a family stay.

Useless resort… Noah ark is not fit to be called a “resort” or “hotel”. Literally stealing HK$1400 /night from customer and not providing even the basic facilities. HK$1400 (1277 + tax 128) per Night for Deluxe Double room is already a significantly high price and you get nothing in return!! If you have any shame then you should offer partial refund otherwise you are absolutely shameless resort!!! 1) upon arrival , NO staff present to help take the luggage from car to lobby and then to the room. The child in the family had to carry the luggage. This is a very basic features of a resort / hotel and Noah’s ark is so SHAMELESS to not provide this!!! What’s the reason?? Are your staff too bloody lazy??? Or are they some arrogant princess and prince who don’t want to help with luggage ? Or did you simply not hire enough staff so that you can save costs ?? 2) No hand soap near the wash basin in the bathroom. When asked reception, they gave a STUPID reply that there is shower gel in the shower area. So if one needs to wash hands in wash basin, then need to go into the shower area??? You people don’t know how to run a resort / hotel!!! 3) for the hand wash soap- the reception also said you can buy it from them!!! So they intentionally don’t provide hand soap so that they can make money by forcing customer to pay for it!!! Hand soap is supposed to be included in the room rate/fee!!! 4) not a single water bottle in the room !!! And when asked the reception they said you can take the kettle in the room and fill it from the water cooler near reception. The large kettle doesn’t fit into the small area near the tap of the cooler. So at best you can fill maybe half of the kettle. What a stupid arrangement ??? Did the staff ever think about it that the kettle cannot fit into the water cooler??? Also reception said if you want bottled water then can buy from reception. This is literally stealing money from customer !!! If you really wanna squeeze the customer for bottled water then at least have the decency to provide couple of bottles for the first time!!! And if customer has used up those bottles then maybe you can ask them to pay for more bottles. Otherwise what exactly are you charging $1400 / night for? When you can’t even provide couple of bottles of water , and no hand soap and none of your lazy staff present to help with luggage. What if it’s a woman with baby…. I stayed here to go to Hong Kong Disneyland. There is a bus to the nearest bus stop every 30 minutes from the airport, so it is easily accessible from the airport. Because there are many people living on the island, buses to Tsing Yi Station run every 6 to 10 minutes, so it is easy to get to the city. The buses are crowded in the morning and evening, and especially in the morning, you may not be able to get on as the bus stop is on the way, so please be careful. It is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop, and the official website has photos of how to get there. There are about 10 steps up to where the security guard is, and there is a ramp next to it for rolling luggage, but you need to be careful with heavy luggage. It takes about 45 minutes from the hotel to Hong Kong Disneyland via Tsing Yi Station. Considering the time it takes to get to Hong Kong Disneyland, it is not much different from the city center, but the rooms in the city are often small, so I was glad that I could easily spread out two suitcases, there was a shallow bathtub, and I could feel the resort atmosphere by the sea. There were two outlets in the bathroom that you can plug in directly from a Japanese outlet, but the one next to the bed is a BF type, so you will need an adapter plug. The front desk will lend you a USB Type A conversion plug for a $20 deposit. I didn't know how to get the water out of the shower, so I took a photo and went to the front desk to ask, and they told me that I had to pull the round part in the middle to get the water out, but the shower came out when I pulled the round part with the water facing the bathtub. It was a little difficult. I could also go out to the balcony and see the beach and the sea. The night view was also nice. As other people have said in their reviews, this time I was in a room facing the sea, so I was bothered by the sound of the trains passing by, which may be because there was an MTR exhaust vent, and it was loud from around midnight to around 6am. Also, planes sometimes pass by, so if you are sensitive to noise, it's a good idea to bring earplugs. The breakfast menu has a Hong Kong feel, and although there aren't many items, you can eat whatever you like in a buffet style. The porridge was delicious. It's a family-friendly hotel, so I would like to come again with my family. The front desk staff were also kind and treated us kindly. Thank you very much.
