Fantastic stay in the heart of Budapest! This hotel had everything we were looking for - steps from the best walking street - Vaci - in Budapest on one side and steps from walking along the Danube on the other. To note - there are no real views from your hotel room as it is a courtyard style, but that was fine for us - it meant this was one of the quietest rooms we have ever stayed in - it was as if the busy city didn’t exist once we were in our room. Well stocked small kitchen - toaster, kettle, microwave, hot plate - so we were able to do simple breakfasts in our very spacious one bedroom. Breakfast in the hotel is an extra cost - we did it one day and it was great, we just prefer to grab our own things for the morning. Great price for this property - 100% recommend if you are looking to splurge a bit but don’t want to break the bank to stay in the heart of Budapest!

We LOVED this choice of a hotel for our four days in Budapest before catching a river cruise to Romania.
The location is outstanding. It is a block from the Danube, and adjacent to a walking street with dozens of shops, restaurants, fast food, dessert, and even major clothing stores.
We arrived by train, and took the metro to the hotel. The entire transit system in Budapest is free for seniors, and cheap for everybody. We used buses, trams, and subway to get around.
We had a studio with King bed. It was HUGE -- about 600 square feet. A kitchenette with an undercounter fridge, two burner hotplate, microwave, and enough dishes for four people. Pots and pans, implements, even a carrot peeler. We at half of our meals out, and half in.
Breakfast was far more than we expected -- described as a "continental." But there was a wide selection of fruit, salads, meat and cheese, several kinds of bread and jam. AND eggs, bacon, pancakes, and more. Definitely NOT a "continental." As I normally do in Europe, I made a sandwich for lunch while at breakfast, and having a fridge to store it in was great.
I did have to call for ice, and it arrived quickly. Housekeeping was efficient and reliable.
There are two very minor negatives. First, there is essentially no lobby. If there are three people there, it's full. Second, there is a laundry room on each floor (no charge) which is wonderful ... but the machines were slower than molasses in January. We arrived with most of our clothes dirty (from the four nights before arrival) and left with them all clean, but it took longer than we expected. Conveniently (??#!!) it was 90+ degrees F (32C) while we were here, and we spent a lot more time in the room playing Scrabble than we anticipated, but who wanted to go walking in the middle of the day.
I absolutely recommend this for couples, families, and extended stay. If you want a gym, pool, room service, and a lively bar, well, this is not your hotel. But we prefer a kitchen unit when we travel in the US, and it was great to be able to buy stuff at the supermarket for this stay.

It looks like my grandfather's room. Taking back in 80s. Thankfully it was well maintained and all the staff were helpful and friendly.
Value for money! Great.
The shampoo holders on the wall has some mould type.
Overall is good since most of the time we are out.
