City Hostel Corvin

I chose City Hostel Corwin because of the price and the proximity to the center. In the summer it was the best option for Booking. Although by name it is a hostel, we lived in a separate room. As soon as you get into the room, you realize that you have returned to your student youth, because judging by the interior, this is a former student dormitory. In addition to beds, there are bookshelves and desks along the wall, and a refrigerator in the room. There is even a cooking tile. The shower room is quite clean, although it is clear that there has not been a repair for a long time. But strictly speaking, everything corresponds to the price. If you don't fixate on the details, everything is quite acceptable.

I always like to start off a review by stressing that you should take most reviews with a pinch of salt - as things like customer service, cleanliness, food, and location are all based on each individual person's own personal opinions - and we all have different standards and expectations. We had a room to ourselves which was very large. The room had three beds, desks, and kitchenette. Also a separate shower and toilet rooms, which would have been good if sharing with strangers. As we were on a football trip, this was all we needed. A couple of issues (1) room was not that clean looking and bin was not emptied (2) no air conditioning. We stayed in July 2018 and the humidity in the room was unbearable. I would not stay here again for that reason alone. ly for a couple of nights in July 2018.

We’ve booked 4 nights at city hostel westend in February, 2 weeks before the check in date they send us an email inform that the hotel just open for our second night and than suggest this one and we accept. The conditions in Corvin hostel are hawful. The toilet still has toilet paper in it and the shower still has hair on the floor. The room was too hot and no air con available (or even a fan). The location is not so good as well. Actually we don’t pay as much but at least the minimum conditions must be applied.
