Don't offer ANY accommodations to people during covid. No rebooking, no refund, no vouchers, no partial refunds, nothing. All flights cancelled to the country, everyone on lockdown, and these people just take your money.
Literally anywhere else. Just go anywhere else.

Having booked a 5 day stay in Reykjavik we opted to stay at Atlantic Apartments since it was considerably cheaper than other apartments available in the city.
Situated on the outskirts of Reykjavik, the hotel is easily accessible by bus, with three or four different bus services frequenting the main street right outside, each service will take you into the city centre in less than 15 minutes with tickets costing around £3. The tour busses also pick you up from here, or more specifically the Oddsson which is 2 buildings away, adding even more convenience to those who wish to be taken to and from the front door of the hotel, it is generally the last pick up point and the first drop off point.
The hotel itself is 2 stars, remember this before embarrassing yourself and leaving a 1 star review. Its main door is coded and on arrival our key was conveniently waiting in an envelope clearly displaying the name of the guest at an unmanned reception meaning check in was seamless. Punch in the code to access the building, grab the key, go to your room. Couldn't be easier.
We stayed in the top floor and there is no lift meaning you will have to ascend a couple of flight of stairs which an elderly relative carrying luggage managed with ease, and even took several additional trips to walk down to get a drink from the vending machine on several occasions. No sweat.
Each member of staff we encountered here were very pleasant, helpful, well mannered and friendly. There are 2 shared bathrooms to each floor which we had access to with ease, if one was engaged (which was rare) the other was vacant, meaning we had constant access to the toilet and shower facilities with no problems.
The hot water does have a sulphur smell, if you learn about how Icelanders admirably harvest geothermal energy from the volcanoes the country is situated on, you'll learn that the smell is a byproduct of the water being heated from underground voncanic heat, i.e the earth, meaning the smell is completely natural and not harmful at all, as soon as the water is dried there is no residual odor, the cold water is not heated thus does not have this odor. Its completely natural, environmentally friendly and some of the purest water this planet has to offer.
The room itself was quite small, though perfect for 2 of us, as previously mentioned the hotel is 2 stars meaning you simply cannot expect all the amenities you would receive in a 4 or 5 star hotel, the sheets you receive are the exact ones you have for your entire stay, your trash will not be emptied until you leave and there is no room service, so if you don't make a mess and create lots of trash you'll get along just fine, the room has a fridge, a microwave, a sink, a radiator, soap, coffee, tea, a kettle, a lamp, a window that spans from waist to ceiling, a table, a couple of chairs and a coat hanger. All you need to thrive.
Sleeping here is a pleasure, there is not much traffic at all, if any, at night meaning this doesn't pose an issue toward your journey to the land of nod.
Overall this is a great place to stay if you're looking for a cheap and easily accessible place to stay in Reykjavik without all the frills. Would certainly recommend and rebook here if we came back to Iceland. A pleasure, thank you for having us.

thats the worst room i booked in island, and i was 14 nights here. and the price is tooooo high for this. we payed for other room less and they were bigger and with own bathroom and wirh breakfast.
small room, bathroom is dirty and u have to share with a lot of other guests, the beds are too soft (not good for the back), rooma are directly to a noisy street, and so on.
