Hotel Island

Actually flawless, the beds good, the cleanliness too, the infrastructure modern, the breakfast OK, everything in the green zone. Why not five stars? The whole thing is just a bit soulless, the staff only greets when they have to, everyone does their job, that's it. A hotel that fulfills its purpose perfectly.

Conveniently located quite close to the city centre and the harbour. The room was comfortable enough, as were the beds so we slept well. As we visited in June we did wonder about the almost constant daylight affecting our sleep but the curtains were thick enough for this not to be a problem. Free parking is available across the road from the hotel. We did not have breakfast as we felt the price was outrageous. The food we had in the restaurant one evening was definitely sub-par.

A beautiful hotel. Big plus: Top beds. Even with back problems, we slept great. The hotel is about 3.3 km from the harbor. We took about 40 minutes on foot. Buses also run nearby, and there are plenty of parking spaces down by the harbor. Generally, there is a fee. Good breakfast. Delicious coffee. Clear recommendation.
