Hotel Selfoss

Beautiful property overlooking the river and the most photographed church in Selfoss, near the small town center and some typical local spots; it has a spa inside, presumably, but we couldn't figure out if it was included in the price. Good breakfast with a view of the river, spacious room with a varied selection. Very beautiful and comfortable room.

Good location, comfortable bed, and very clean. Breakfast is not very good in the coffee is really terrible. They heated the room before ourarrival so it was way too warm. As when most other places in Iceland, the windows don’t open very far and it was difficult to cool it down for sleeping. Take your credit card with you to the bar or restaurant because those are run by separate company and you can’t put it on a room tab

We spent one night in this hotel. The room was clean. The beds were quite large, but the mattresses were a bit soft for my taste. There were blackout curtains, but a sleep mask remains necessary if you like to sleep in the dark. The view from the room was very beautiful (over the river) and we had a small balcony. The room was well equipped (kettle, coffee, tea, hairdryer) and the hotel was modern. We did not try the breakfast. The hotel is very well located as it is just a short walk from downtown and particularly from a food court with reasonable prices for Iceland. We recommend this hotel.
