Icelandair Natura Hotel Reykja

Hotel is located at the Iceland regional airport so a distance from the city center but very close to the Perlan museum. Hotel has a somewhat dated lobby and rooms. WiFi speed is worse than dial up 30 years ago at < 9mbs download speed. Had to use my cellular data which burned up my cellular plans allotted free data. TV in room relied on internet so it was also caused frustrating slow and sluggish changes between channels and often caused the TV needing to be shut off to get it reset and function again. Decent food options for breakfast and dinner options good as well. Helpful front desk personnel.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hotel Natura Reykjavík. The hotel itself is badly in need of refurbishment. The room was outdated, with worn carpets, tired furniture, and an overall neglected feel. Cleanliness was below expectations, and the room did not feel properly maintained. The gym was particularly appalling—dirty, poorly maintained, and not a facility I would expect any reputable hotel to offer. It clearly needs a complete overhaul. To make matters worse, the room was uncomfortably warm throughout my stay, making it difficult to relax or sleep well. What is most disappointing is that we were placed in this hotel by HX Cruises. For a company that markets itself as providing a premium travel experience, they should be ashamed of sending guests to accommodation in this condition. Their choice of hotel falls well below the standard I expected and detracted from what should have been an enjoyable trip. Until this hotel undergoes significant refurbishment and improves its standards of cleanliness and maintenance, I cannot recommend staying here.

View of the planes taking off (impossible to sleep even with earplugs) and blackout curtains that let daylight through. Avoid if you want to sleep! On the other hand, the rooms are large and the buffet is hearty... Maybe to spend a sleepless night...
