Inga S New Guest Apartments

The apartment was very easy to find and the location was perfect as the apartment was in the center of town so I walked everywhere easily. It was great to be able to use the key box to get inside straight after my flight. Ólöf told me that I could store my luggage before check in or check out time if I needed which was really nice as I had a late flight. The apartment was really spacious, the kitchen had everything I needed, very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The street is quiet but only a few minutes away I could go to restaurants and bars. Ólöf also told me about the flybus which picked me up at the Airport and drove me all the way to Inga's new guest apartments. I had a great time and the staff was very helpful. I would for sure recommend booking at Inga's new guest apartments.

We arrived around 10am and knocked on the door to be told we weren't aloud in til 11am and was spoken to extremely rude and unwelcoming. We weren't told any of this before coming, we received an email that evening tell us.So we had to stand outside with are luggage in the snow. When finally in the room it was nice but there was lots of old pieces of paper stuck everywhere telling us what we could and couldn't do. You aren't aloud to do a lot, not even talk loudly. It felt like we were children and couldn't do anything Incase we were told off. When leaving the place there was no one to be seen at all, which was extremely rude as didn't know where to leave key or anything. I wouldn't suggest staying here if you don't want to be told what to do or enjoy yourself.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable trip, whilst being great value. There was also good communication from the host during our trip when we emailed questions. One thing which could be improved is to send visitors the email about how to access the apartment block keys and get in ahead of the day of arrival, as we received it only once we were in the apartment - although when we knocked Ólöf, the host, greeted us and let us in so it ended up not being an issue. It was in a very good location as it was in a nice residential area but within a short walk to the centre of Reykjavik, and near to restaurants. It was also on a nice quiet road so we had no problems with noise late at night or early in the morning. It was useful that this guesthouse was listed on all the tour websites we took, so we were able to get picked up and dropped off there for each tour which made things easier.
