Amrit Regency

I with my family checked-in this hotel on 29 th evening around 5pm and checked out 31st early morning around 5am. We chose the delux double bed room whose rent is 3000 per night which have complementary breakfast. As we will leave early morning on 31st they assured that they will pack our breakfast. We have 4family members including 1 year and six year kids. They packed us the breakfast for 2 of us. Breakfast included 2pc bread, one boiled egg, I real fruit juice and on banana for each person. They did not pack the breakfast for my 6 year old kid. I thought they forgot it, and told them to pack breakfast for kid. But the strongly denied to do it, because kids will share breakfast from parents, that is the rule. What was the cost of breakfast as items mentioned above, may be 40 rs and 50 rs? We are spending 6000 rs for room but they are such inhuman can't give breakfast for kid. We thought we will get the same for kid, so we didn't arrange food for kid. Very bad inhuman behaviour from the management of this hotel.

I used to stay in Amrit Regency in between 2003 and 2004. It was the right hotel in terms of pricing , comfort and had excellent service. Hotel has a good location. But after a long time I came here for 3 nights. The owner has ensured that the hotel is kept clean and modern. But the service level is simply poor. The day I came I called the hotel in advance for my dinner . The reception person asked me to call after landing . I called around 10.15 pm. They refused to take any advance order . I had to come and take food through Zomato . Next morning I asked for South Indian food from the breakfast menu as my booking was without a complimentary breakfast. They refused . Somehow I could motivate the room boy to make Pha for me . I had to wait but I got it. Today morning they refused other than set breakfast menu . I spoke to the reception but they refused to help I had to go back to Zomato . The room next is having renovated work going on . I had an online training program yesterday . I asked them to stop the noise for few hours . But they continued with their work . I can see a hotel well located and with good infrastructure is going down because of unprofessional staff and service . This is my last stay in this hotel. Guwahati has lot of options. You can avoid this place .

The location of the hotel is excellent. The rooms are OK suitable for a business visit. They do serve good breakfast. They provide morning newspaper to each room and try to keep the room clean and tidy. But the food over here is pathetic and overpriced. The portion served is also very less.
