Libton Manor

I went in person to book a room. They showed me “the best” room there but when I arrived 2 days later they had given the room to another lady! When I spoke to her she said she arrived the day before me BUT had actually booked and paid upfront for that best room in person the year before…. So the owner lied to me! Unfortunately for Libtons I always strip the bed and pillows just to ensure they are clean…the mattress and mattress cover were covered in old piss stains and the pillows inside the pillow cases were yellow with sweat stains! I complained but the owner was in denial and said but the bedding is clean as it had just come back from the laundry - actually they could have been cleaner… yes were just back from laundry but had lots of marks on. The next morning I was panic stricken as the room door would not open having swollen at the lower part of the door during the night so eventually I caught the guy next door on his balcony (no telephone in room) so asked him to come and kick my room door in and he had to do this every morning for me to get out! I complained to the manager who promised me it would be rectified but never happened! thank God there wasn’t a fire in the night as I would never have escaped! Won’t recommend or stay there again! Wasn’t even cheap!

After the hotel we originally booked didn’t actually exist when we arrived we were recommended these apartments. We turned up and the owner went out of his way to accommodate our stay. The location is fabulous just off the busy main road. The room was spacious and spotless. Towels and bedding changed regularly. Fridge, kettle & toaster in the room and a visit to the 24 hour reception any other requirements were met. Used the laundry service as we were there a month for 40 rupee per item it was no brainer. The staff were outstanding and have already pre booked for a return holiday. Loved my stay here.

I stayed here for 10 days, The rooms are modern and nicely decorated with fridge and Aircon. Its in a great location, a 1 minute walk to candolim beach road. The owner and his family are very welcoming and approachable and are happy to help you if you need anything. I would definitely stay here again when I next go to candolim.
