Surya Sangolda

I have been staying at Surya Sangolda with my wife and 8 year old for the last month and we will continue for another couple of months. It has been a lovely experience. Thanks Rhys for delivering all that you have promised for our long term stay and a million thanks to Lucien, Sada, Sudarshan and Atul for making our stay as comfortable as possible. These guys are the housekeeping and maintenance team and are absolutely on the ball. Like most places in Goa, you need transport to get around. Having said that there are a host of restaurants and cafes and supermarkets and food trucks just down the road so everything you need is just around the corner. This is our halfway house between our lives in another country and our final home in Goa and it has been wonderful in all aspects. It also helps that it is a walking distance from our daughters school. Thanks Surya Sangolda. All good things.

With a vast number of options online its difficult to identify the right one. Pics can be deceiving considering the marketing involved. After narrowing down on a couple we shortlisted Surya Sangolda. Was a little skeptical with the number of apartments available, the location, the property owner etc but were taken by surprise. Owner - Turned out to be friendly and responsive. Straightforward and relaxed, not pushy at all. Had no hesitation in reducing a day of our stay with no additional cost. Place - It was truly a luxury apartment. Neat, clean, spacious and well planned. It was so cool that we hardly needed the AC inspite of the heat outside. Staff - Amazing. Super quick and prompt to queries and issues. Very humble and warm. Food - Not provided but why would you need it considering the number of restaurants around. Copperleaf was kickass. Negatives that ended into positives - The sofa was not to our liking but the staff were courteous enough to let us know that the sofa in all apartments were the same and didn't mind us checking at vacant apartments. The spin function in d washing machine wasn't functioning as per expectation but the staff were so proactive that they didn't mind washing the clothes in some other machine. It ended up being that the machine else where too had the same problem. Recommendation - Definitely yes, I would henceforth stay at only this place if I'm vacationing in Goa.

We loved the folk and food in at Surya. The accommodation is comfortable and truly unique. It was an easy place to get to by public transport. Good beaches close by by tucktuck or bus. We hope to return there one day
