Venus

It was one of the dirtiest hotel I have come across. There was mould on the walls. Wallpaper was coming off the walls at numerous places. They tried to stick back the wallpaper with sticky tape. The bed was smelliest I could describe. It appeared that the bedding is not regularly changed. The kettle had a broken handle. Imagine holding an electrical equipment with a broken handle. In the bathroom, they didn't have a shower curtain to separate the washing area from rest of the bathroom The exhaust fan was broken. Towels were dirty. I would have given the hotel a minus score. Terrible

This is a terrible, dirty hotel...ok it cost us $34 a night so I should have expected something worse then the phony reviews of the place. And that indeed is the problem...phony reviews. The hotel lobby is depressing. The day manager is unsmiling, rude and clueless. The room was sketchy with pealing wallpaper, a bucket for the shower, and a questionable bed mattress...eh...painful. The real problem here is that the review said the Venus was good to exceptional value. It isn't. Its a cheap hotel in a string of cheap airport hotels. Unless you have no other options...stay away!
