Wonderful location, very nice service, Sanjay was very helpful for the food and whatever we asked for he got it asap. Best experience in Varkala. Thank you guys for making our stay this peaceful and worthy enough.

Well, it's a small hotel type property more on the line of homestay. A very small swimming pool in the centre and few rooms around it. Small rooms with bare minimum furniture and fixtures. The toilet is good. The restaurant has limited stuff on offer. The breakfast is frugal with very limited choice. The eating place stinks with not so clean tableware. The staff is well behaved and cooperative. An ordinary place, overall, hyped by the travel agencies and the price is hiked unnecessarily during peak season.

Desadan Cliff Resort at Varkala was suggested to me by my Agent Ms Lekha of Ellora Holudays. We four ( a friend and wife and my wife) stayed at the property's Malabar and Mughal suites on 15th night. The general location is okay, except that the approach roads are too narrow. The configuration of the rooms around the swimming pool provides good ambience. The rooms are neat and well furnished, except for the absence of a good dressing table and cosmetic storage. Number of Plug points are not adequate. The flow of hot water is woefully poor. We had dinner and breakfast at the facility. The chef provided a very tasty, less oily food. But my main disagreement with the management is : 1. Poor ambience in the restaurant. The restaurant is a hurriedly constructed set up. The wash rooms are not neat, or well-kept. The other major defiency U find is the policy of the management to do away with Buffet breakfast when the occupancy is low. Today, as only 4 rooms are occupied they provided only Ala carte' service. This is not marching the profile if this other wise good property. The book-shelf in the Lounge is well-stocked . It is an excellent idea. I have explained these things to Mr Vinoo, the Manager on the site. Incidentally Vinoo is good listener and a receptive official. I would recommend this facility to my friends only if the shoet-comings are rectified.
