Grand Hotel, Ballard Estate

Hotel is in a great location close enough to the chaos of Mumbai but in a nicer more peaceful area. The hotel facade is nice as is the lobby. The rooms are nice but slightly dated. The rooms have a fan and AC both are good however extremely noisy and difficult to sleep with on. Staff are lovely and helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff, fast laundry service and discreet breakfast. Room with old furnishings, smelly wardrobe, poor cleaning, stained sheets. Poor window soundproofing, noisy air conditioner. From the photos it looks very nice, unfortunately they do not reflect reality. Too bad, because the property is charming and would have high potential with some investment. The asking price is too high even for Mumbai which is notoriously expensive. Good location to quickly reach the India Gate area, but beware, in the evening the streets immediately close to the hotel are completely dark

Lovely stay in a historic building. This is our second time staying in this hotel.. The wonderful staff remembered us from last year. We stayed in their large family room, which is like a mini apartment, perfect for a family of three or four, complete with A sitting area. It is in a quiet area with lots of trees, and you can hear the birds! Central area, easy to get to many places in the city.. They were very accommodating when my elderly father was sick. Will certainly stay here again on my next trip to Mumbai. Highly recommend!
