The Hideaway River Lodge

We were a group of 4 friends doing a trans-Uttarakhand expedition and Jim Corbett National Park was our last halt before moving back to our hometown Delhi. We were extremely tired from our previous sojourns and needed to cap out for a night to revitalise ourselves. This property did just that. Right from the freshly squeezed apple juice given to us on arrival to the luxurious bathrooms to have our hot water baths to the inviting swimming pool and outside lawn overlooking the Kosi river. It was a complete package. We requested for a table in the lawn in the evening for our drinks session. To our surprise they had fans, ice bucket holders and a dedicated staff of 2 all set for our evening. That made our day it should I say night! The rooms were well appointed and big. Definitely a go-to property!

the place is very nice and a different experience. we traveled from Pantnagar and this time decided to explore something more adventurous and hence decided to stay inside the forest and opted for this property. this belongs to leisure hotels and they have one more property just outside the forest. they will take u in a safari jeep and driver will show you tiger pug marks, not lucky enough to see a tiger even after 2 days. basically this is located not inside the jungle but at the periphery so dont think u r going to stay in the jungle. Pros--Property is excellent. different kind of experiance, feel of nature, morning safari on an elephant and by jeep is awesome, u can explore some part of the jungle, small river and so on. overall nice experiance. CONS--Very expensive, nothing is free, food is good but if u ask anything extra that is chargeable.No TV and only solar lantern. overall nice stay.

Special thanks to Chef C.S Parihar and his team for the excellent hospitality and delicious food. A very homely experience. Hope the staff are the same after the renovation. Good coordination of outdoor activities.
