Gracia Bali Villas

We are currently staying at Villa Garcia as a family, and I feel it’s important to share our experience honestly. Before booking, we specifically asked the management if there was any construction nearby, as peace and quiet were very important to us. We were clearly assured that there was none. Unfortunately, this was not the truth. From the first day, we have been surrounded by ongoing construction on all sides of the villa. There is constant noise from drilling, hammering, cutting stone and metal, and heavy machinery throughout the day. This is not occasional disturbance — it is continuous and unavoidable. What is particularly frustrating is how this situation was handled. During our stay, we were repeatedly told that the noise would stop “in two or three days.” This was said multiple times, which gave us hope that the situation would improve. Only about a week before the end of our stay did we finally get the honest information: the construction has been ongoing for years and will not stop anytime soon. As a “solution,” we were offered access to a smaller villa with a much smaller pool during the day — which we would have to leave our villa for and travel to. This is not a realistic or acceptable compensation when you book a private villa for comfort and relaxation. Even more disappointing, we were told we could move out for the remaining days and receive a partial refund. However, this suggestion completely ignores the reality of relocating a family during the final days of a holiday. It would mean significant stress, effort, and additional cost — especially since comparable accommodation at this price is no longer available due to the monthly rate we booked. The villa itself is beautiful, and the staff on site are doing their best. But the overall experience is heavily impacted by the constant construction noise and, more importantly, by the lack of transparency from management. Had we been informed honestly in advance, we would have made a different decision. At this point, we cannot recommend staying here if you are expecting a peaceful and relaxing environment.

Before booking, we explicitly asked the management whether there was any construction nearby that could cause noise. We were clearly assured that there was none. Unfortunately, this turned out to be completely inaccurate. Since our arrival, there has been heavy construction all around the villa. New villas are being built, including excavation for pools, with constant noise from jackhammers, drilling, cutting stone and metal, and hammering on large steel structures throughout the day. We were later informed that this construction has already been ongoing for around two years, with no clear end in sight. The villa itself is beautiful, and the on-site staff is kind and helpful. However, the surrounding noise significantly impacts the overall experience and makes it impossible to relax. What is most disappointing is beside the construction itself, the fact that we were misinformed about it prior to booking from management. If you are looking for peace and quiet, we cannot recommend staying here at this time (pretty sure not before end of 2027 in our opinion).

Beautiful and spacious two bedroom villa with a much needed big pool after a days exploring. Super close to restaurants and bars and the beach, but far back enough to enjoy some quiet time. The staff at Gracias Villas were amazing, super helpful for anything we needed and provided a delicious breakfast every day. Highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️
