I left after one night ! This place is an absolute DUMP. Nothing like the photos. (Also not to be confused with the nice hotel Villa Sonia along the back of Monkey Forest. - This one has BISMA at the end and the other is just Villa Sonia! ) First of all the rooms are only accessible via two really steep external stairs that wrap around the OUTSIDE of the hotel (not internal stairs) these stairs were broken and had steps MISSING . I could not believe i was expected to use them !. The room had a permanent leak in the bathroom, water sitting around the whole time I was there. Sheets all grey and old, not white. Bathroom stunk of damp, the Air conditioner does not operate well and did not cool the room. There was also hardly any hot water. I say hardly because sometimes i could feel luke warm and other times it was stone cold. The balcony door did not lock. I booked 4 nights through QANTAS Holidays at $ 60 AUD a night. Left after the first night due the room, QANTAS tried to recoup my last 3 nights but the owners would not do this. I then checked into a nearby hotel, which was glamorous and clean pool, safe, secure for $ 30 a night. This place was an absolute dump. Please Read Reviews.

Safety at this hotel is a concern - it's a fire risk! We had a room on the third floor, accessed via rickety wooden steps that became slippery when raining. If there is a fire, you would be trapped as there is no fire escape. Verandah doors were faulty, very hard to close, and safe broken. Although bathroom was huge and luxurious, there was no hot water and shower was dirty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highlight was watching 8 monkeys playing on our verandah. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have poor mobility as there's no lift. Decor was tired, scruffy & dated.

Very clean and spacious room with cold a/c. Staff are extremely friendly. Central to all attractions in Ubud. Room included breakfast but was average so a short walk to plenty of cafes took care of that. Be aware of the monkeys. Keep your balcony doors closed and don’t leave anything out on the balcony.
