Villa Puri Balangan

We stayed here as a family group of 8. The whole stay was amazing and everyone was more than happy. Staff are very helpful and friendly, would go to the shop for us, cook, breakfast, call taxis, help with organising laundry, anything we needed. Having a private infinity pool was amazing with stunning views over land to the ocean. Villas are spacious and luxurious, everything was clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked for our family, 5 adults 2 teenagers and 1 child. 4 first time overseas travelers. Arrived at 11 pm and the staff were waiting with cool towels and juice. Woke up in the morning to spectacular views as pictured, 4 gorgeous villas 3 with canopy beds and 2 with huge baths and outdoor showers. We didnt realize the first day to ask the staff for help with transport so Made the supervisor had to explain to me. Ask the staff they will do everything possible for you and to help you. Made and the boys cooked us an amazing seafood bbq feast on our last night. Recommend staying here for a great get away as its so quiet, therefore not walking distance to anything so get the staff to get taxis or they will pick up shopping for you. And they loved playing hide and seek with us. 😍

We were two families getting together for a holiday with our children - and had come from a villa in Canggu to Puri Balangan for the remaining days of our holiday. My friend who booked this had some issues with payment, Paul wanting her to make several cash withdrawals from an atm at her cost to pay the balance on the villa and for a pool fence, as the card facilities were down. Was sorted later in stay after she complained. The villa is an amazing spot with stunning views and we enjoyed watching the planes coming and going. All the 3 star ratings I gave are for the property and view which really were the selling point I felt. We have stayed at several villas now and this one did let us down - not on the views though. The villa was nice and comfortable - beds are comfortable and great seating. Villa was sold with a chef and there was no chef. My friend pushed as she was told there was one, and Made the manager cooked our breakfast in the end which was good - and he did a BBQ one night which was good too. No chef for anything else though. Wayan did offer to get food from a local cafe on the second day on - which was great, but wish we had know when we arrived on the first evening when we struggled to work out how to get food for our hungry kids, as quite remote. I don't like to complain about speaking english but we have never found it so hard to communicate with staff as we have here - the fear on their faces when we went to ask something very simple was plain to see! I felt for the most part they tried but the service wasn't what we were expecting and fell short. Got the feeling management/owner were hiring just anyone to get it done with no care. Don't want to blame the staff as I feel they don't have good guidance from owner. It was disappointing that just one girl who was lovely realised we were going at the end and helped me with my bag - but the rest of the staff were hiding, and didn't see anyone when my friends family departed first (and they were paying) . Always been greeted and farewelled by staff at every villa we have been at even ones with much lower price bracket. Awful screeching cat on the property around the table and dining area - didn't like that as had no idea if clean or not. Did appreciate the great laundry service within a day. No access to babysitters. Very hard to get a driver ended up calling one ourselves that we knew from another villa. Did organise scooters which was good. Massage treatments had to be organised a day ahead which was pointless so didn't bother. Pool was really nice - very warm - though did turn my blond daughter's hair bright green. Appreciated the pool fence up. We also found the security a bit concerning as did other reviewers. The gate is always open. One morning we were up at 6 and the front door and gate were wide open with no one to be seen. And our children were in a room nearby - luckily all was well but it wasn't ideal. We had scooters to ride around for the adults - and there is a beach not far away and pretty countryside. Nothing is close enough to walk to though (for shops etc) It was a shame as could be great as such a beautiful place - and the staffing issues could be sorted with some training and care from management/owner.
