New Sunari Lovina Beach Resort

Our stay at New Sunari Beach Resort was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and attentive service that made us feel truly at home. The resort is beautifully set by the beach, offering stunning ocean views and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Every detail reflects comfort and care. The staff deserve special appreciation. They are friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with a sincere smile. The food was delicious with a great variety, and enjoying meals while overlooking the sea was a highlight of our stay. Overall, New Sunari Beach Resort delivered an exceptional experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful beachfront getaway in Bali. We would gladly return.

Upon arrival with our group tour (so hotel booked by organization) I heard myself say 'what a nice entrance / good first impression / why are there negative reviews on TripAdvisor?'. Because, nice spacious lobby. Friendly staff, friendly staff. Suitcases already put by the room. Arriving at the room the air conditioning turned off. With 31 degrees outside, it felt that way inside. Tried turning on air conditioning, which didn't work. The safe was also found to be locked. This was quickly solved (I turned out to have to point the remote at the air conditioning) and safe was locked. But hours later it still felt pretty hot in the room, I got the feeling that the air conditioning was not working (properly). Then set to 'hi power' mode, and checked that air conditioning was on automatic. In the meantime decided not to use the safe, it turned out to be loose in the closet, you could take it under the arm..... Then to pool and beach. That was very pleasant. Nice hot pool water and fantastic sunset. Sunbeds with parasol where drinks or snack basket were brought along. Towel service. Good food in restaurant (both dinner and breakfast). Evening live music. Enjoyed us just fine. Then it was time to go to bed. It had already been 11pm when I realised it was still very hot in the room, while the air conditioning had been roaring for five hours. So for the 2nd time to the reception to ask for help. The person who came went to look at the remote control batteries, while that really wasn't the problem (otherwise you wouldn't hear beeps with setting changes). Then he indicated 'wait 5 minutes, I will look at Airco unit outside'. 15 minutes later, he'd never been back. It still cooled badly, but it was too late to ask for another room. So I just sleep with the blanket half open. And after spraying extra DEET mosquitoes, because there were no less than 4 mosquitoes in the room (logical if air conditioning is not on) Sleep ho, still too hot and the pillow was way too thick and not very malleable. At 2 am again changed air conditioning settings. At 3am it finally got a bit cooler. The next day, the air conditioning size kept glowing, clearly too low capacity, especially when the air conditioning is turned off when there are no guests. And then the shower: there is a shower bar, but without a holder. There is a holder, but then the shower head sprays horizontally.... Shampoo bottles have to be on the floor, because shelf hangs crooked. (also in other rooms of others of our group tour). There is only one towel p.p. No 2nd (mini) towel to dry your face with the next morning. There is a towel rail, but it sits in a very awkward place behind door bathroom. We have hung the bath towels on coat hanger in closet! (sink is outside the bathroom). There is a bench, but backrest cushion is badly attached with Velcro. Second night at 1 am woke up to loud piano music from the lobby, for more than 5 minutes. Why didn't reception intervene? In short, 2 star room in a 4 star complex.

Nice swimming pools and sea view. Choice at the restaurant. Very negatives: cockroaches in the room (the bathrooms are open to terror at ceiling level) old hotel (no towels , pillowcases on arrival) and stray dogs in the restaurant. I don't recommend it.
