When we booked, we asked for a room facing the rice fields because my spouse had stayed there 23 years ago. Little downside: we did not know that the guest house was under renovation and that we had the outdated room! We asked to see the news, they are just superb and the place is beautiful. However the room we had was beautiful, but the bathroom was deplorable, it smelled bad. There was rot and the sink tap was barely fixed! We asked to be transferred the next day to another room, which was refused. The prices were the same. We were checked on Booking and it was no problem to pay more if that was the case. In addition there were rooms available. Too little trouble, we had written an email asking if we could pay with credit card. The answer was yes. To our surprise we are asked 3% more strongly agree for small shops but there is a guest house and three days. In short, we observed that in Ubud there is nothing authentic anymore. All that matters is tourism and raising the money. This is a great shame compared to the rest of Indonesia. Traveled us to 3 different islands and for my spouse this is the third time he comes back to Indonesia

A beautiful home stay, terrific pool and breakfast.beautiful gardens including staghorns. These are a credit to the hotel. Helpful staff, who will do what they can to help you. There was a bath. The only issue was the water draining from the open shower in the bathroom. But the staff gave us towels. Theres a school next door that performs music twice a week, so you’ll have some culture. We did have issues with maps, Ubud is now very big.
